Dental Staff

Dr. Andrew White was born in Neosho, MO and was raised in Moore, OK. Dr. White is a General Dentist and his passion for helping people in Dentistry runs in his family. Dr. Robert E. Wood DDS started the practice as a General Dentist. When Dr. Wood retired his son Paul Wood took over the practice renaming it Nevada Oral Surgery. Dr. White is excited to meet the local people in Nevada and surrounding area to provide the best dental care.

Prior to college Dr. White was a Manager at Pickle’s Americas Grill in Moore, OK and renovated houses. Dr. white went to the University of Central Oklahoma for undergraduate studies and then went to dental school at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry 2014-2018. While at OUCOD Dr. White received the Frederick C. Seids Award for his contribution to the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Excellence in Prosthodontics Award.

He enjoys helping people and Dr. White volunteered at Kings Klinic extraction clinic, with the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy, and went on a dental mission trip to Treasure Bay Jamaica. In his free time he enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors. At Dr. White’s office during your visit you will be comforted by the scenic view in all of the operatory rooms.

Sidney Pike is a Dental Assistant at Dr. White’s dental office. She was born and raised in Nevada. She is a recent newlywed and has a daughter, “aka” her fur baby Miss Oakley. She enjoys working in the yard, crafting, watching dirt track racing with her husband and taking naps.

In the future Sidney wants to have a family and is excited to see how she grows in dentistry as it is her new-found passion and she enjoys it very much, especially seeing all her patients and how she can help make their dental visit the most comfortable.

Mary is the Receptionist at White Smiles Dental Office. She has lived in Vernon County her whole life. She has been married 37 years to David Scotten, they have a son Heath and a daughter Darcy Browning. She also has 3 grandkids she adores and loves very much.

When Mary isn’t working she raises cattle with her husband and father-in-law and was active in 4-H with her children. She is a past shooting sports shotgun leader. She is also a Cosmetologist and was the first graduate out of Nevada School of Cosmetology. Mary is an animal lover and her chickens are like her pets and she loves her puppy Parker and she has many cats. In her spare she enjoys mowing her yard.

Mary enjoys working and has worked in a variety in job settings. She has been the Bacon Township Clerk, Nevada City Hospital Receptionist, Secretary to the President of Harwood Bank, teller at Farm and Home, Casey’s donut maker and is now at White Smiles Dentistry and owns her own beauty Salon which she has owned for 26 years called Hair By Maré. Her passion for animals even shows at White Smiles office. She feeds the birds and squirrels which you will see the feeders in the woodsy view from your appointment room.
